Disaster Recovery

No matter how much care you take, disasters can happen. What does matter is how much a disaster can affect your business and the ability to recover.
How long can your business survive without the data it needs? How will downtime affect your business? Are your staff aware of their individual roles during a disaster recovery?
C Data understand the need for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery procedures to be in place so that your business is prepared for any disaster. Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) need to be reached and we are here to help.
Automated Remote Backups
Using Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2007, automated disk to disk backups can be done across the internet directly from your servers to our storage servers. Files, Exchange and SQL can all be protected, with backups being made as frequent as every 15 minutes, depending on the amount of data and bandwidth available.
Backups don’t matter…recovery does!
You have a backup – what you now need is a method of recovery. Taking our automated remote backups service a step further, we provide phase one disaster recovery services to emergency servers that are deployed within 24 hours following a disaster. This gets your users back up and running, thus minimising downtime and interruption to usual business processes.
Disaster Recovery exercises
With Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans in place, they must be practised to test their efficiency and workability. Such practice exercises are performed annually to identify issues that could cause problems during a live recovery, with improvements made where necessary.
