Dedicated Server Hosting
You may be looking to put your IT services in the cloud, but are worried about where your data is being kept and by who, and perhaps concerned about losing control over your systems as soon as they leave your site.
C Data can provide dedicated server hosting that aims to still give you control over your own IT system by keeping it in your own private cloud, on your own dedicated server. Built on the Windows Server 2008 platform, you are flexible to run the services that you need, from Exchange to SQL. If applicable, you may even be able to run your own legacy applications. All you need is an internet connection.
Benefits include:
- Your own dedicated server – no system is shared – it’s your server!
- No outsourcing to datacenters – you know where your data is at all times, and who is managing it.
- No up front licensing costs – no need to buy new licenses, simply lease them.
- No need to buy hardware – we can provide it!
- Simple monthly subscription basis – 3 month rolling contract, no 12 month tie in.
You have a choice of either your own physical server, or your own virtual server.
Dedicated Physical Server
We can supply you with your own dedicated physical server. An entire server is dedicated to you and your system, and while there are many benefits to this, including the greatest amount of flexibility to resource allocation, dedicated physical servers come in at a higher cost.
Dedicated Virtual Server
Virtualisation technology allows us to run multiple servers on one physical server. This gives the end user the same services as they would expect from a dedicated physical server, but at a lower cost. While you are not as flexible with resource allocation as a dedicated physical server, there are cost benefits as the cost of running the physical server is split.
What is important to remember with a dedicated virtual server is that although the hardware is shared, your systems are not – it is still your own server, dedicated solely to you and your company or organisation.

Don’t need a dedicated server?
You might not need your own dedicated server – if you are looking for a simple e-mail hosting solution, a Software as a Service (SaaS) might be ideal for you.
